Hi 3rd hour Civics Students,
Please comment about Obama's presidential victory. Obama's campaign platform was all about "change." What "changes" in your life do you predict due to Obama's upcoming influence? What was it about his campaign that helped him be successful? Please write 3-4 sentences commenting about either of these questions, or both.

Some changes I predict will happen is the beginning of a balanced budget. Also, I predict that businesses will be traveling back to America from overseas, bringing with them our Troops and families stationed in Iraq. I believe Barack Obama can make these changes, along with the many others he has promised throughout his campaign.
Also, the things that made him successful in his campaign were the characteristics we talked about in class. I believe Obama holds every single one of those characteristics including, speaking skills, appearance, confidence, reliability and believability. Americans trust Barrack Obama because he is courageous and forceful, yet calm. He deserves to be president, and over the next four years, hopefully eight, he will continuously prove that to us all.
As the new president I think Obama will fix a lot of things. 1st i think he will fix the economy with his plans. I also think that he will bring an end to the war in Iraq. that would be a big change in my life there is so many problems in the Muslim community because of it.
I predict that Obama will change the way we Americans go about business, in relaitons to other countries. I also believe that he will bring better health care, and lower taxes for the ones who really need tax breaks. I also believe that him being black, and proving that a black man can get in office will hopefully calm down all the raceism.
I agree with Zaynab very much. By Obama fixing the economy now he will be fixing our future as well. Not only will he bring a change in your life, the muslim community, he will also bring my people together.
Some of the changes I predict will change is the health care system,job system, and the education system. I also believe troops will come back to America from Iraq, and the economy will improve.
